These architecture posts have been based on this article. The authors truly hate ugly architecture. They say:

New Orleans buildings are examples of beautiful spaces, a balance of simple and complex, "adorned with colorful shutters and intricate iron galleries, and decorated with flowers and tropical plants. And it’s those complex elements that give the place life."
