Awokening 3

(cont'd from last Friday's post)

Woke values require that all of us be pushed and coerced into saying things that we all know are not true (as in last Friday's video). Fairness is one of those values we all aspire to, but it's sacrificed and violated when female athletes are forced to compete with physically male athletes.

A high school girls track meet this month illustrates the point. King's Christian Academy girls put in a winning performance, but they were edged out of first place by Seattle Academy because one "girl" on that team has a male body with its typical advantages.

It's the same unfair situation that Riley Gaines faced when she competed against the transgender UPenn swimmer, Lia Thomas. Sports is a primarily physical competition, and competitors should be qualified on physical terms, not emotional feelings.

Riley tweeted that the girls and their coach were threatened "not to say anything/act up on the podium or else they would be suspended ruining their chances of going to State. Parents were warned not to wear political shirts. A coach got suspended for yelling "fair sports for girls."

Real girls rock

Does anybody still claim that biological males should be allowed to compete in women's sports? Riley Gaines appears in this commercial from the Super Bowl last night:

She hears comments like, "Who cares if biological males play in women's sports? Just be inclusive!" And, "This is just a bunch of fear-mongering from right wing bigots."

Girls and women pursue "their athletic goals and dreams despite the criticism, hate, personal attacks and gaslighting of “trans” activists and their allies."

I have to wonder how it's possible that any rational human being could deny that males generally have different, stronger bodies. Athletic males should compete against other athletic males and athletic females should compete against other athletic females . . or the competition is not fair.

We see you, NCAA

XX-XY Athletics launched a video last October to ask Nike to support biological women's sports: "Will you, Nike?"

Now they've launched a new video that includes Riley Gaines: "We see you, NCAA."

NCAA has linked their definition of who may qualify as female in women's sports to a birth certificate. But that does not yet actually protect women in the view of XX-XY Athletics. Birth certificates can be changed in 44 states.
