Many parents felt blindsided. The unquestioning faith they had placed in neighborhood schools and school boards turned out to be ill-founded. They decided they must keep an eye on what's going on.
Moms for Liberty, established in 2021, resulted from that new awareness (photos). They are "an organization dedicated to empowering parents to advocate effectively for their children at school board meetings and across all levels of government."
Decisions voted on at school board meetings may have a negative effect on their children, so they want to be informed--before decisions are implemented, before they lose any opportunity to influence them.
So they launched a new AI system to flag and report policies that parents might oppose across 13,000 US school districts.
