A popular 23-year-old on social media wanted to be more available to her millions of followers. So she launched a virtual, artificially intelligent version of herself to interact with them. They pay a dollar per minute. Now her mostly-male fanbase can talk to "her" for hours.
Her virtual self is a chatbot built by Forever Voices and based on the sort of technology used in ChatGPT. As with other AI products, it will seem like they're having a conversation with the real human person Caryn, who made $71,000 the first week it was up.
Creepy, at all?
