How-to book

You've probably heard of How to Win Friends and Influence People. You may have the same impression that this author had, and that I used to have - that it teaches you how to use or manipulate people.

"Everything I thought the book about turned out to be wrong. This is not about manipulating others . . . [it] is about being alert to others around you, getting out of your own head to see the world as others see it. Why should you do this? Here is the twist: because it is in your own interest to do so.

"As it turns out, there is a logic to living and functioning well in cooperation with other people. This book is the roadmap."
